Flight Zone has always had some expectation on her, being a half sister to Elite Thoroughbreds Million dollar Stakes earner, Testashadow. Today, she demonstrated that ability does run in the family.

Engaged in the first race at Hawkesbury over 1300m in a tricky 4 horse field, Flight Zone jumped and led with relative ease. With the contest turning into a ‘sit & sprint’ affair, Flight Zone was just too quick for her rivals, eventually winning comfortably by 2 lengths.

‘She has been a work in progress and she got the job done today’, said Gary Portelli. ‘It was a good ride by apprentice Simone Vella and the claim helped’.

Flight Zone was a $35,000 purchase by Elite Thoroughbreds from the Magic Millions March sale. She is by Eurozone out of Flying Spur mare, Moonlight Shadow.
