Dissident is a five time Group 1 winning son of the 2008 Golden Slipper winner & champion 2YO, Sebring. He was brilliant as a 2YO winning the Blue Diamond Prelude on debut, and was better at three when winning his first Group 1 in the Randwick Guinness. It was as a 4YO that Dissident really came into his own having won four Group 1 races and securing horse of the year honours. His victories that season include the Group 1 Orr Stakes and the time honoured All Ages Stakes!
Denman mare Vintage Valley, is a well related daughter of the Stakes placed Napa Sky. She hails from one of the best families in the stud book, being closely related to Group 1 sprinter Lankan Rupee, Australian Derby winner Tavago & Stakes winner Shadea, who is more so known as the dam of high class racehorse and stallion, Lonhro.
Sledmere Stud have bred and sold Group winning horses such as Gold Fever, Invincibella, Pane in the Glass & Politeness.

He will be trained by Golden Slipper winning trainer Gary Portelli. Pre-sale x-rays and scope were performed by Dr. Brett Warren. This colt was found to be low-risk.
Dr Brett Warren conducted a pre-purchase examination of the horse and x-rays. He concluded that this thoroughbred was deemed a ‘low risk’ proposition. A post-sale examination of the horse was also conducted and the report has been included in the partnership agreement.
Shares will be sold in 2.5%, 5% & 10% increments. The share price of $3,300 per 5% share is inclusive of all sale expenses, breaking in & education cost, Inglis race series nomination, initial Golden Slipper and Golden Rose race nomination, death & mortality insurance and all related registration and Racing NSW syndicate fees until June 2019.
